Last year while surfing the web (do they still use that term?), I discovered a website that showcased a N.Y.C. photographer’s photo project focused on people and their regrets. The project was awesome! Imagine… in this age of selfies and instant gratification, a project that gets people to open up about something personal that they’ve carried within for most of their lives! I wish I had saved the link and the photographer’s name back then but in this day of abundant online intel, I’m sure I can track it down. Discovering this project got me thinking though… why not do it here in my town?

After giving it some thought, I’ve decided to start a similar project here in my city; after all, nothing is new under the sun and perhaps the photographer got his idea from someone else.

While I don’t live in a large metropolitan city that offers an opportunity to document a variety of characters people, the folks here in the Mahoning Valley are just as cool and interesting.

Check out the video below for a more in-depth story about my upcoming project. Thank you for reading.
